Dusk (2019)

The romance between humans and plastic is just a few decades old, but it is already endangering the survival of our planet. It is estimated, that in 2020 the plastic production will reach around 500 million tons. It will take approximately 600 years to biodegrade. Studies show, that the average human eats around 50,000 particles of micro-plastic a year, and breathes in almost the same amount.

The video begins and ends as a paraphrase of one of David Lynch’s photographs: SmallStories - Head #2, which evokes a sunken, uneasy feeling.

Dusk is a is a commentary on sustainability issues and overconsumption. It tries to reflect and raise awareness about the changing state of the planet, the over abundance of garbage and the non-degradable material that is plastic-petroleum.
